Why does the interface look different?
The interface is constantly changing, with modifications, changes, and upgrades to the code.
What name servers do I set my domain to use?
The SystemInPlace DNS Cluster name servers are dns1.systeminplace.net and dns2.systeminplace.net.
When I create a domain, change a record, or create a record, how long does it take for the changes to take effect?
Any changes, creation, or modifications take effect on the cluster instantly. The only delay you may experience is with your DNS resolver's cache.
Why do you use a default TTL of 300?
A default TTL of 300 allows for a cached record, in RFC-compliant DNS resolvers, to expire in 5 minutes. This allows for any changes you do make to occur as quick as possible.
Can I add my own backup DNS servers to my domain?
Yes, at this time, you can add your own backup DNS servers to your domain. AXFR is currently enabled and supported for use, however this may change in the future.
Do you support using the DNS cluster as private name servers? (i.e. ns1.yourdomain.com / ns2.yourdomain.com)
No, at this time, we do not support using the DNS cluster as private name servers.
